“Sweetish” Meatballs

- For the meatballs:
- lbs ground beef
- 1 p cooked rice (measured after cooking)
- 2 cu applesauce
- 2 medi onions (grated)
- 1-1/2 tssalt
- Freshly grnd pepper to taste
- For the sauce:
- 1 cube beef uillon
- 1 Tbs hot wate
- 1 cup tomato sau
- 1/2 cup red wine
- tsp coriander
- 1 t garlic powder
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp ogano
- 1 tsp of own sugar
- Prehe the oven to 350°Knead all the meatball ingredients together. Form into medium-size meatballs and place in a roasting pan or baking pan large enough to hold them all in one layer, preferably not touching.
- Dissolve the bouillon cube in the water, helping it along by crushing with a spoon and stirring. Mix it together with all the other sauce ingredients. Pour the sauce over the meatballs.
- Bake for one hour. Serves approximately 6.”
