Texas Hash

  • "Tbs oil
  • 3 rge onions (diced)
  • 1 lae green pepper (diced)
  • 1 lb ln ground beef
  • 2 cups swed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup unoked rice
  • 1 tsp chili wder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/ tsp pepper
  • n a large skillet over medium-high heat (heat the oil and add the onion and pepper, then the ground beef. Cook, breaking up the meat and turning, till the beef is brown and well separated. Stir in the tomatoes, rice, and seasonings.)
  1. Preheat oven to 350°Pour beef mixture into greased 2-quart baking dish. Cover and bake for 45 minutes, then remove cover and bake 15 minutes more. Serving suggestion: Goes nicely with a salad or serve alone—it’s a complete meal unto itself. Serves 6.”
