Rina’s Hamburgers

  • all amount of oil to sauté in
  • 1/ cup finely chopped onions
  • 1/4 p finely chopped celery
  • 2 lbs ound beef (chuck is fine)
  • 1/4 tsp tmeg
  • 1/4 cup brd crumbs
  • Dash Worcestshire sauce
  • Salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
  1. Preheat oven to 350°In a skillet over medium heat, heat a small amount of oil and sauté the onions and celery until onions are brown. Remove from heat. In a bowl, mix the meat with the nutmeg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and the sautéed celery and onions. Form 3 to 4 patties. Place in hot pan and sear quickly on both sides, then place in oven for 5 minutes for rare, 7 minutes for medium, and 10 minutes for well done. Serves 3 to 4.
