You aren’t just going to watch them struggle; you’re going to offer a helping hand. This demonstration of empathy goes a long way, especially since other retailers aren’t doing it. When was the last time you went to the store and had someone offer you a basket? This is one of the best ways to increase your basket sales.

Choose the Right Baskets for Your Store

Analyze what products you sell and try and determine what kind of cart you’ll need. You want to pay particular attention to dimensions and size. You wouldn’t exactly want a basket that’s got a wide and long diameter when you only have a small boutique. That said, you want a shopping cart that can handle the size and weight of your products. For small retailers, small and light baskets are key. However, grocery store retailers might want to get larger baskets. 

In short, as a retailer, your job is to make the buying process as easy as possible. Using your shopping carts effectively is half the battle. If you follow the tips above, you’ll be well on your way to increasing your bottom line.
