Tequila Rose Strawberry Cream Liqueur Review:
In the USA, Tequila Rose is a recognised brand. Considered to be very sexy, it appears in a pink bottle and has a light pink dust-flap.
In the UK (where it is known as Blanco Rose) it is in a more standard, clear-glass bottle, with a plain pink dust-flap.
So the taste of Tequila Rose is mainly sweet and creamy. It’s not inferior to the other strawberry-flavoured liqueurs, but it’s not superior either. It has a dedicated following in the USA, where it has won lots of awards.
Tequila Rose also has a brand of Tequila, known as Tequila Rose and coloured by means of a grape skin extract.
Tequila Rose Review:
Although it is a bit higher in alcohol content than previous liqueurs that LW has featured, at 32% abv, it is still one of the lowest in the range of tequila-based liqueurs.
This Strawberry Cream Liqueur is relatively sweet, but the alcohol isn’t overpowering.
The flavour of strawberry is quite clear and artificial in this drink, but some of the taste is of strawberry chew sweets, particularly when water is added – as it should be generously.
Tequila Rose isn’t like a cheap strawberry-flavoured lager or cider. It’s a quality drink and shouldn’t be dismissed just because it’s neither the first nor the last of the Strawberry Cream Liqueurs available.
It goes down well, especially before dinner, and its quite refreshing.
LW thinks the presentation in the UK could be a bit better. A touch of soft pink around the bottle and a style that is more in line with the US packaging, would have really polished it off.
The Blanco or Silver Tequila for mixing is really in order with this one. This isn’t your everyday Strawberry Cream Liqueur! With heavy flavours (and certainly lots of alcohol) the shot glass is not a good vessel to be used in this instance.
The Blanco Tequila is recommended; Wild Berry Tequila works just as well and even using Gold Tequila would be better than the lesser quality of the lesser proof Tequilas.
Tequila Rose makes a good cocktail. It’s great as a Strawberry Slush Cocktail with the high alcohol content – full strength – and is quite tasty in the Peaches n’ Cream Cocktail.
You can combine Strawberry Cream Liqueurs with Brandy bases (and even Gin) but keep the spirit below 25% abv.
Tequila Rose Strawberry Cream Liqueur Review
Overall: This review of Tequila Rose Strawberry Cream liqueur is mostly positive. The drink is very sweet. It can be mixed with a Brandy base to produce a creamy liqueur and it can also be mixed with some Tequila and thus labelled as a Tequila Rose.
For a Strawberry Cream Liqueur, it is in the middle of the range. It doesn’t compete in quality with the top one third part Strawberry Cream Liqueurs, but it is way superior to the cheaper brands.
This Strawberry Cream Liqueur has a dedicated following in the USA and it deserves it for the great taste and good value.

For a Strawberry Cream Liqueur, this one is good. It is on the lower-end of the cost scale and a cut above the cheap brands.
For those on a budget, or for the more experienced drinker, this is a superb drink. Don’t be put off by the design; Tequila Rose Strawberry Cream Liqueur is extremely drinkable and fun.
Tequila Rose has established itself as a brand name for quality, and the ultimate Strawberry Cream Liqueur.
It appeals to those who want a Strawberry Cream Liqueur with a minimum of alcohol but still enjoy a good, sweet berry drink.
Enjoy Tequila Rose, and if you wish to drink it as a Tequila Rose, mix it with a Blanco Tequila – a ‘pincho de Blanco’ – and enjoy a drink that has taste and quality.
This Strawberry Cream Liqueur would be a great addition to any adult party glass – and it certainly wouldn’t turn any heads if you mixed it in an ‘Adult’ Champagne Fizz.
