When I went vegan, one of the hardest things to do was cook for my friends who were non vegans and not very interested in trying new items such as tofu or nutritional yeast. This book (as well as others written by Isa) has tons of great recipes that are actually delicious and my friends were shocked when they tasted some of these recipes at dinner.
Isa walks you through some of the basic tenants of vegan cooking, including how to cook a bean, which, surprisingly, I didn’t know how to do before buying this cookbook. I highly recommend this to beginner to vegan cooking!

The Live Food Factor is the first comprehensive guide to not only the raw food diet, but also I suggest my OWN book, as it is a comprehensive guide to the raw vegan diet.. It took me six years to write this book, and it has two forwards by well known people in the movement. It includes 120 recipes, an easy-to-read science section including 60+ scientific studies, before/after photos with testimonials, a how-to section, and much much more.
