Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye is made with 90% rye. This is gently spicy with soft pepper, vanilla and butterscotch notes.

Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye:

A wonderful sweet and spicy drink!

I love to float a teaspoon of Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye over ice cubes in my Oloroso Sherry Glencairn Glas.

This is a sipping whiskey and should never be mixed, even with ice or water.

The Good:

The price is sensibly set at $34.99 for 750ML! Come on, that’s less than $40!

The Better:

Value for the money – check!

Love the bottle! I’ll hold on to mine and collect them as I go.

I hope to see other expressions in this new line from Crown Royal.

A wonderful and well-made drink that’s affordable and easy to find. I’d love to see Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye in 50ML bottles, especially with an open bottle icon on the side.

A beautiful aroma and superb presentation. The Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye bottle is a sweet touch!

Another excellent way to enjoy Crown Royal!

A 90 proof beverage that celebrates the contribution that 90% rye grain makes to this unique whisky.

Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye Review 1:

I love the Crown Royal colors!

This is a smooth and easy drinking whiskey, which is great with Canadian Cottages or mixed in a Manhattan.

I am a member of the Crown Royal Ambassador program, and I have received free samples!

I am a member of the The Crown Royal Club and I love the new “This is Good Stuff” display!

The Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye display in my local Liquor Barn is amazing, and so are the sales reps who work for Liquor Barn.

Nose: Excellent! Nice, interesting and sensual with maple and vanilla. Very nice!

Taste: Very good!

Finish: Good

Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye Review 2:

This really is a beautiful expression – it’s complex, deep and rich. There is no shortage of flavor and taste which really adds up to the finish. It feels as though you’re drinking a glass of thick, smooth peat with a sweetness that dances around your mouth.

This is a superb dram that’s packed with taste and character. It doesn’t have any of the boldness and intensity, and the heaps of citrus and spicy notes are far more subdued. However, this actually adds to its character… a lovely, creamy heathery sweetness.

Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye Review 3:

Many people who are collectors of Crown Royal will be buying this limited-edition whiskey on the market to add to their Crown Royal collection, but you’d have to be pretty foolish to not buy a bottle for the taste and for the value!

This is a beautiful glass of rye whiskey. It’s not exactly earth-shattering, but it’s a little bit different from your average rye whiskey. It feels as though it’s similar to the new Crown Royal Regal Apple.

Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye Review 4:

There’s a deep and rich Canadian-ness to this whiskey with a lovely oaky character that adds a little bit more strength and smoothness to this whiskey. There is so much going on with the Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye and that makes it interesting and certainly worth a look, given the reasonable price!

Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye Review 5:

It’s a lovely, thoughtful and contemplative whiskey. It’s perhaps not as bold and offensive to the nose as Crown Royal Canadian, but for me, that’s a good thing.

It has a more subtle and delicate aromas and flavors, which I think works a lot better than the big, bold aromas and flavors, particularly when you consider the delicate and soft butterscotch notes to Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye.

I personally think at this point, Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye is a great idea, but it could do with a bigger punch of flavor. It feels a little bland and boring when you consider the other Canadian whiskies and American rye whiskies. Perhaps they will add an extra kick of flavor to the next batch of Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye?!

Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye Review 6:

I’d like to see Crown Royal come up with a slightly different taste because I feel like there’s a missed opportunity here in Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye. It’s as though they have taken a very light riff off of Crown Royal DeLux and added a little bit of spice to it.

That being said, the Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye is a decent whiskey and if you can get yourself a bottle for under $60, that’s a reasonable price. A lot of people will add Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye to their cabinets and they’ll be drinking it in a Manhattan or a Canadian Cottage. It’s a very simple drink that’s very tasty and you don’t have to over think it.
